Puffing Billy Railway 是一條762mm窄軌蒸汽火車路線，全程從Belgrave出發，蜿蜒穿越丹德農山脈，終點為山城Gembrook。車廂採開放式設計，乘客可以坐在車廂側邊的欄杆上、把腳伸出車外感受微風——這個傳統延續了超過百年，是全球最獨特的乘車體驗之一。每天運行（聖誕節除外），所有票務必須提前網路購買。Puffing Billy is a 762mm narrow-gauge steam railway winding through the Dandenong Ranges from Belgrave to Gembrook. The iconic open-sided carriages let passengers perch on the sill and dangle their legs in the breeze — a century-old tradition unlike anywhere else in the world. Runs daily (except Christmas). All tickets must be booked online in advance.

官網明確表示票務無法當天購買，且熱門班次常提早數週售罄，尤其假日、春秋旺季。建議至少提前1–2週訂票。No on-the-day tickets — trains regularly sell out weeks in advance, especially on weekends and in spring/autumn. Book 1–2 weeks ahead minimum.

Puffing Billy 最著名的體驗，就是坐在車廂欄杆上把腳伸出車外！4歲以下兒童不可坐欄杆；4–13歲需成人在手臂可及距離監督，每名成人最多監督1名小孩。The iconic experience of dangling legs from the open carriage! Under 4s cannot sit on sills. Ages 4–13 need an adult within arm's reach — max 1 child per adult.

丹德農山脈比市區涼快，開放式車廂行駛時風更大。即使夏天也建議帶薄外套或圍巾。冬天更要保暖。The Dandenong Ranges are noticeably cooler than the city. Open carriages get breezy — bring a light jacket or scarf even in summer, and proper layers in winter.

蒸汽火車以煤炭驅動，靠近頭尾的車廂煙味較重。不喜歡味道的建議備個口罩。The coal-fired engine means carriages near the front and rear can get smoky. If you're sensitive to the smell, it's worth packing a mask.

到站後先把你的購票證明（email 截圖等）給 Booking Office 櫃檯看，他們就會給你印好的來回票——票上已標好你的車廂號碼！

拿到票後可以先到裡面的紀念品店逛逛、拍照，時間差不多的時候到月台中間的等候區驗票。

⭐️ 座位小秘訣：去程坐火車頭出發方向的右邊，回程坐左邊！景色最好，位置先搶先贏！ Show your booking confirmation (email screenshot etc.) at the Booking Office counter — they'll hand you printed return tickets with your carriage number already on them!

Once you have your tickets, feel free to browse the gift shop and take photos. Head to the waiting area in the middle of the platform when it's nearly time.

⭐️ Seat tip: Sit on the right side (facing forward) on the way there, left side on the way back — best views guaranteed. First come, first served!
